Jaguar Run at Madeira DriveA relatively young event, there have been 9 London to Brighton Jaguar Runs to date. Information on the 2008 event is still awaited. It is organised jointly by the Jaguar Enthusiasts Club and Jaguar World magazine.

The event is usually scheduled for the last Sunday in April - 29th April this year

Around 350 Jaguar cars from across this iconic car's range and history take a leisurely ride from London via a few beauty spots on the prescribed route to Madeira Drive, Brighton.

The Jag has been a legend of the British car industry since the 1930s. It was owned by Ford from 1989 until 2008 when the Indian Tata group bought it together with Land Rover for $2.3 billion. It is said that Ford never made a profit on the car.

Tato, India's largest car maker, made global headlines when it announced the world's cheapest car, the Tata Nano. When first announced the Nano was priced at around $2,500, but it is thought that rises in the prices of raw materials, especially steel, are undermining that rock bottom price.

2009 Event: Sunday, 26 April
