The Brighton Breeze is the annual run for all Volkwagen enthusiasts. It is organised by theĀ Split Screen Van Clubwhich was founded in 1983 dedicated to the preservation, love, care and enjoyment of the pre-1967 VW van.
The Brighton Breeze is a very successful event, where a great many VW vans can be observed. In fact, the criterion for entry is "ANY air cooled VW (and all T25's)". While camper vans predominate, there is also a selection of other VW machines, such as beetle cars, a caravan, and a German post office van.
Of course, as camper van enthusiasts, many entrants in the run want somewhere to camp, and facilities are available at both ends. Camping places at Brighton racecourse sell out quickly.
