Immediately east of Madeira Colonnade is the JAG Gallery and Open Studios. A community of artists have turned the arches, formerly a derelict council property,  under Madeira Terrace into studios. And the largest set of arches also houses the JAG art gallery.

JAG is an acronym formed from the initlais of the artist who started and who manages the area, Julie-Anne Gilbert.

The work of the artists is displayed in the gallery and you can often see the artists at work and even discuss a purchase or a commission.
