Started with around 40 participants in 2007, the Beach of the Dead Zombie Walk attracted around 3,000 in 2011. At 3pm the zombies, covered in blood and gore, gather at the Old Paddling Pool (is it haunted?), near the West Pier (definitely haunted!) and then stumble, moan and groan their way through the city centre on their way to Madeira Drive, finishing at Concorde 2 for an after-party, 4pm - 9pm. (Link to photos from 2011 Walk)

Unfortunately, the Zombie Walk is DEAD! At least for now, killed off by finance and public insurance problems, I believe. Perhaps it was too successful, too soon. Organising any large event is time consuming and costly.

But it may yet return.
